St Bees Cumbria by the Irish Sea
St Bees is a particularly attractive village on the Cumbria coast overlooking the Irish sea. It is a place steeped in history and a place of considerable theological significance.
The village has a shop, pubs and restaurants. It is handy for the Lake District, which is only a short drive away.
It is also blessed with a wonderful landscape. There are superb coastal walks and scenic cycle routes.
There is also a lot here for ornithologists. Guillemots, terns and, occasionally, puffins can be seen at the bird sanctuary and along the cliff ledges. Unspoilt western lakes are within a 25 minute drive. A village shop, pubs with restaurants are nearby.
Things to do in the St Bees area
The northern Lake District has a huge variety of holiday attractions within easy reach of the house, to suit every taste. A collection of up to date brochures are ready for you to browse through on arrival.
